Safety comes first when trains are involved. At the GSWR we focus on serving the community in a manner that ensures the safety of our employees, customers and everyone in our community. Please do your part to keep the community safe by practicing safe habits around railroad crossings and tracks. Here are a few important things to remember: - Look both ways before crossing a railroad and never go around the gates when they are down. Just because you don't see a train doesn't mean there isn't one coming.
- Don't play or walk on the tracks.
- Stay off of railroad bridges. They are only wide enough for a train to pass - there is no extra room for you!
- DON'T try to beat a train when it comes to crossing the tracks. Trains cannot stop for you.
If we all work together we can make our community safe for everyone. |
